Lemay is proud to support the advancement of transportation and urban planning strategies through its new partnership with the Chaire de recherche-innovation en stratégies intégrées transport-urbanisme (In.SITU) of the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).

The research and innovation Chair’s role is to advise decision-makers and assist them in meeting the challenges of urban policy across Quebec and Canada.

This new agreement foresees a financial contribution to the Chair as well as training for urban planning students.

“Urban planning and transportation are inextricably linked, they determine the shape of our cities,” said Marie-Claude Aubin, Lemay principal and urban planning director.

“This partnership is in line with our firm’s values and a natural next step towards advancing sustainable development, which is the cornerstone of our philosophy.”

As the first private partner of the Chair, which celebrated its first anniversary last June, Lemay joins major public partners such as the City of Montreal, the Agence métropolitaine de transport (AMT), the Société de transport de Montréal (STM), the URBA2015 Forum and the Association du transport urbain du Québec (ATUQ).
