Lemay team climbs the equivalent of Mount Kilimanjaro

June 27, 2017

Lemay employees don’t lack for ambition or lung capacity!

Gathered last Saturday, June 10, about a dozen of them proudly represented Lemay with their multiple ascents of the stairway at Parc de la Chute-Montmorency, as part of Kilimandjaro à Québec  2017. The gruelling event raises funds for neurosurgery research at a Quebec City hospital, and this year it surpassed its goal of $161,170!

The self-named “Lemay en Santé” team (from our healthcare studio) climbed the stairway’s 487 steps an arduous 61 times: the equivalent of the Tanzanian peak’s 5,892-metre altitude. Even better, with their great energy and enthusiasm, they ranked 23rd out of 72 teams while raising a total amount of $2,554 in donations! Bravo!

Lemay’s 60th anniversary celebrations this year are a reason to recognize perseverance and achievement, which were on full display for this challenge. Thank you to all who generously participated in this great cause!
